Loi74-FROM SPICE QUEEN TO ELIMINATED! Kanika’s Heartbreaking Exit Shocks MasterChef Fans!

MasterChef Australia star sent home after failing to cook very common kitchen staple

Kanika Gadyok was the latest contestant kicked off MasterChef Australia on Monday night.

The cooks were tasked with creating an international dish with a hero ingredient, with Kanika picking corn.

The 35-year-old tried to prepare the kitchen staple two different ways, but both her dishes fell short for the judges, who pointed out that her flavours didn’t wow them.

Kanika was sent home, but vowed that she would continue her journey as a chef after the competition.

The chef was clearly heartbroken, after acing the previous spice challenge.

Kanika said she ‘loved everything’ about her MasterChef experience, even if she was disappointed to be sent home.

Another contestant was sent home during the previous Monday’s episode of MasterChef Australia.

Alita Harvey-Rodriguez tried her hand at recreating a viral dumpling lasagne, but it all went horribly wrong.

The 40-year-old presented the judges with ramekins filled with layers of rice paper and spiced beef.

However she was undone by her melted burrata topping, which drenched the entire dish.

The judges likened the result to wet meatloaf, and also questioned Alita’s mix of Asian and Italian spices.

She was sadly sent home, with the judges telling the cook that too many elements in her dish had issues.

Alita admitted she was ’embarrassed’ by her effort, but vowed to continue pushing herself in the kitchen.

Last Wednesday night’s episode saw the season’s youngest contestant sent home.

Bella Di Conza, 20, was felled when her apple and cinnamon entremet dessert fell short.

While the flavours overall worked for some of the judges, the texture of the gel topping and the gluggy mousse were unimpressive.

The presentation of the dish was also lacklustre, after Bella had struggled to remove her entremet from the mould, leaving her grappling to cut it from the silicone base with scissors.

Bella’s elimination left judge Poh Ling Yeow devastated and she sobbed as she farewelled the young cook.

‘Bella, I am so broken-hearted for you right now. You are so young and you have so much talent,’ Poh wept, tears streaming down her cheeks.

‘I know you’re going to be a superstar, and I want you to promise me that you’re not going to let this moment define you,’ she continued.
