Thi74-Keith Urban’s Secret Text To Kyle Sandilands Exposed After Devastating Divorce

Kyle Sandilands Reveals the Keith Urban Text That Took On New Meaning After Nicole Kidman Split
A short message Keith Urban sent Kyle Sandilands before travelling to Australia has taken on a very different meaning in the wake of the country singer’s divorce from Nicole Kidman.

Sandilands revisited the private exchange during Wednesday’s edition of his subscription-based show, Kyle Sandilands Live, revealing that the message arrived before Urban and Kidman’s separation became public in September 2025.

A seemingly ordinary request to catch up

According to Sandilands, Urban contacted him ahead of an upcoming visit to Australia and wrote: “Bro, when I get there we MUST catch up.”

At the time, Kyle viewed it as a straightforward message from a friend. It was only after the couple’s split became public that he began to wonder whether the emphasis in Urban’s words carried a deeper meaning.

Looking back, Sandilands suggested the singer may have been quietly reaching out for support without directly explaining what he was going through.

However, Urban did not mention his marriage or any personal difficulties in the message. Kyle made clear that this was simply how he interpreted the exchange in hindsight.

An earlier interview also returned to mind

The text was not the only moment Sandilands later reconsidered.

He also recalled an appearance Urban made on the former Kyle & Jackie O Show, during which the conversation turned to Kidman’s intimate scenes in several of her films.

Sandilands said Urban appeared unusually guarded when the subject was raised and quickly responded: “Yeah, next question.”

The reaction surprised Kyle and reportedly prompted members of his team to wonder whether the topic had touched on something more personal. Nevertheless, Sandilands said he dismissed the feeling at the time because Urban and Kidman had long appeared to be one of the entertainment industry’s strongest couples.

Only after their separation did the brief exchange return to his thoughts.

Kyle refuses to take sides

Despite sharing his observations, Sandilands spoke warmly about both stars and avoided blaming either person for the end of their marriage.

He described Urban as a genuinely good person and Kidman as equally kind, suggesting that some relationships simply reach their natural conclusion.

Kyle also noted that the former couple had always been highly private and were unlikely to discuss their personal difficulties publicly.

“I’m not taking sides,” he said.

Their marriage ended after nearly two decades

Kidman and Urban married in Sydney in June 2006 and share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Their separation was confirmed in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage. Kidman filed for divorce shortly afterwards, citing irreconcilable differences, and the divorce was finalised in January 2026.

Both have largely avoided discussing the specific circumstances surrounding the breakup.

Kidman recently reflected on adjusting to an unexpected new chapter, acknowledging that she once imagined her future unfolding very differently. Rather than revealing private details about the marriage, she spoke about adapting, remaining hopeful and moving forward.

Sandilands’ comments do not establish that Urban’s message was directly connected to the separation. Instead, they reveal how an apparently ordinary request between friends can look entirely different once the events that followed become known.
