Thi74-Jeremy Clarkson Cheats Death After Aggressive Cancer Hospital Bed Drama

TV star Jeremy Clarkson shares major cancer update

British TV star Jeremy Clarkson has spoken for the first time since his “aggressive” cancer diagnosis – in a major update for his fans.

Jeremy Clarkson has spoken for the first time since his cancer diagnosis – revealing he is now in remission.

The fifth series of his farming show Clarkson’s Farm ended on a cliffhanger with the star in a hospital bed, telling the viewers he may not be back depending on the outcome of his medical treatment, The Sun reports.

Last week, it was revealed that the 66-year-old was treated in August for a malignant tumour in his prostate.

The cancer was an aggressive type that could have spread to other organs in his body

But thankfully, it was caught early following a routine examination in May 2025 with a blood test revealing the TV star had high levels of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA).

Further testing showed that Clarkson likely had cancerous cells in his prostate gland, a small organ part of the male reproductive system that sits just above the bladder.

An MRI located the cancer’s location, which luckily hadn’t spread yet, and a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis.

Now, as per The Sun, he’s urging others to get themselves checked, and has met up with former UK prime minister Lord David Cameron to discuss their prostate cancer diagnoses with other famous faces.

In an interview with The Times, Clarkson said: “I have to say to everybody who’s reading this, please, please, please go and get checked.

“It’s not uncomfortable, it’s not undignified. And it’s a no-brainer.

“I did, and that’s why I’m sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line. I’ve seen so many people die of cancer.”

In Britain, 64,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year with 12,000 dying it from it. In Australia, prostate cancer is currently the most commonly diagnosed cancer, with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia reporting nearly 4,000 deaths in men from the disease.

But if it’s caught early, most survive as they receive treatment early enough before it’s had the chance to spread around the body.

This involves having a probe inserted into the rectum that destroys the cancer cells.

In a follow-up PSA test two months ago, Clarkson was told his cancer is in remission, but he still needs regular blood tests and monitoring as up to 40 per cent of those who have prostate cancer will get it again.

But Clarkson says he’s trying to stay positive and hopes to be in the 60 per cent who don’t have a recurrence.

He added that catching the cancer early has meant he’s cheated death and made him “the world’s luckiest man”.

The TV legend revealed his cancer diagnosis in the last two episodes of season five.

Talking to farm manager Kaleb Cooper and agricultural consultant Charlie Ireland, who star on the show, he told them: “I’ve got cancer.”

A shocked Kaleb replied: “No, you haven’t. Where?”

Jeremy adds: “Where it is is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.

“I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early so the treatment will be, you know.

“I was praying we could get the harvest done and then I could go and get some treatment but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle.”

In the season finale of Clarkson’s Farm, the presenter was shown in a hospital bed after experiencing complications during treatment.

He told The Times this had been caused by him resuming a course of tablets he had been taking following earlier vascular and cardiac without asking his doctors first.

In 2024, Clarkson underwent a heart procedure, which saw him fitted with two stents to improve blood flow to the heart.

The TV presenter previously quit smoking after contracting pneumonia on holiday in Spain.

He’s also going for lots of walks, eating vegetarian food and driving more slowly in order to ensure he’ll watch his grandchildren grow up.

His popular reality TV series, Clarkson’s Farm, follows Clarkson and his crew as they navigate the challenges of running Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Since deciding to run his farm in 2019, Clarkson has become a vocal supporter of farmers and attended a protest in London against the Government’s move to introduce inheritance tax on farmland in November 2024. Clarkson will return to TV screens in 2027 when the sixth series is due to air.
