‘You ruined that!’ Kyle, Jackie O fight resurfaces
The awkward exchange followed a tense chat with Cameron Diaz, which saw the actress hang up on the radio duo.
An old tiff between Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O has resurfaced and it was all thanks to a very awkward interview that saw actress Cameron Diaz famously hang up on the pair.
Diaz was a guest on Kyle and Jackie O’s now axed KIIS FM breakfast program to promote her 2014 comedy flick *** Tape (available to stream on ****), alongside co-star Jason Segal at the timethe tense exchange went down.

During the chat, the co-stars were happily talking about their fun flick when Sandilands chimed in comparing Diaz’s daughter in the film to her longtime best friend, Drew Barrymore.
“Did you find that she looked … does she reminded me a little bit of Drew Barrymore?” he questioned referencing to a similarity between the young actress and Drew as a seven-year-old in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
Sandilands then pokes fun at Barrymore’s highly-publicised years struggling with drugs and alcohol.
“She misses out on the Drew Barrymore drug years because that was a great thing to watch, but not so good to be [her] …”
The comment was enough to offend Diaz and prematurely call time on their chat.
“I’m sure you’ve never been through a drug phase have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that,” she hit back at the controversial shock jock.
Picking up on the tension, Sandilands did his best to turn the joke around, attempting to mock his own personal struggles.
“Hang on a second. Now, I’m friends with Benji [Madden, Diaz’s husband], so I don’t know if he’s been talking out of school or not, but I’m talking to keep his mouth shut,” he replied.
But the damage was already done. After trying to bring the conversation back, Diaz ended the chat claiming they were getting wrapped up (hint: they probably weren’t getting wrapped up).
“You guys, we’re having to go now,” she said before the line went dead.

Cameron is two things out of the spotlight: a fiercely loyal friend and notoriously private.
It’s for this reason, Jackie blamed Kyle for a dud of an interview – while their mics were still switched on.
“That started very well and ended poorly I think. Good one Kyle!” she slammed her co-host accusingly.
“What’s it got to do with me?” he questioned, unable to see what he did wrong.
“What do you mean what’s it got to do with you? You ruined that interview. Sorry to be blunt, but you did. You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend’s drug addiction in the past and then you brought up about Benji,” she continued.
“We all know how protective Cameron is of her private life. The two things that probably would get her off-side, you went there.”
Diaz and Segal take on a married couple who are trying to get their spark back in *** Tape.
As the name of the comedy suggests, they take advantage of a rare night off from the kids to film a little somethin’ somethin’ for their own private archives.
While they were hoping the sexy project would improve their relationship, what they weren’t expecting was for the private tape to be leaked.
Despite receiving mostly negative reviews upon it’s release more than a decade ago, the flick ultimately salvaged its $US 40 million budget by grossing a solid $US 126.3 million at the worldwide box office.
