Weeks after Karl Stefanovic’s dramatic departure from Channel Nine, his wife Jasmine has offered a very different glimpse into the European trip that unfolded around one of the most difficult moments of his career.

A new collection of photographs shows the couple enjoying time together on Italy’s Amalfi Coast alongside their six-year-old daughter, Harper, and several close friends.

Yet the sun-filled family scenes carried an added significance after Jasmine publicly rejected claims that Karl had spent more than a month travelling without her.

Jasmine’s gallery captured several relaxed moments from the group’s stay in Praiano, a coastal town known for its dramatic views across the Mediterranean.

In one photograph, she cuddled close to Karl as they posed together during the getaway. Other images showed the couple enjoying the beach, relaxing on neighbouring sun loungers and spending time with friends on a boat.

Karl appeared particularly cheerful in one scene, smiling and applauding while Harper sat on his shoulders.

The group also explored the town before gathering for a sunset dinner held in honour of Jasmine’s friend Jimilla Houghton.

“Snapshots from the big birthday in Praiano,” Jasmine wrote alongside the post.

The photographs presented a warm family picture during a period otherwise dominated by headlines about Karl’s sudden professional upheaval.

Jasmine Rejects a Very Different Account

The holiday gallery emerged shortly after Jasmine responded angrily to a magazine report claiming she had been left in Australia while Karl travelled through Europe for 40 days.

The story suggested she had become “fed up” and issued her husband with an ultimatum following their alleged separation.

Jasmine rejected that account directly.

“FAKE NEWS!” she wrote while sharing an image of the headline, making it clear that she had accompanied Karl during the trip.

“I was with him in Europe but thanks for the story time,” she added, before criticising the publication for printing what she described as lies and fictional stories.

Her response changed the meaning of the newly shared photographs. Rather than simply documenting a glamorous Mediterranean holiday, the images also appeared to provide a visual answer to speculation about the couple’s relationship.

A Holiday Overshadowed by Karl’s Nine Exit

The European trip coincided with a defining turning point in Karl’s career.

While overseas, the veteran presenter became embroiled in controversy following an interview with British far-right activist Tommy Robinson for his independent podcast.

Nine subsequently announced that Karl would leave the network immediately, ending his long association with Today. The network said it was no longer possible for him to continue hosting the breakfast program while pursuing his independent show.

Karl had been one of Australian breakfast television’s most prominent personalities, appearing on Today on and off for more than two decades.

However, the family photographs suggest that the aftermath of his exit was not spent entirely in isolation or professional turmoil.

When approached outside the airport, Karl confirmed that businessman Adrian Portelli and Melbourne identity Mick Gatto were among the guests expected to feature on his show.

He also joked with a photographer who asked about his upcoming interviews, asking whether the man was attempting to take over the Today role.

Despite the major change in his professional circumstances, Karl appeared relaxed as he waited for a vehicle displaying the branding of his new project. His independent show has continued following his departure from Nine, although the controversy also affected other mainstream media commitments.

Another Major Change Awaits at Home

The couple are also preparing for a significant transition away from Karl’s career.

Their multimillion-dollar residence in Castlecrag has continued taking shape after the original 1960s brick property was demolished to make way for a contemporary family home.

When asked when the renovation would finally be completed, Karl admitted he did not know, joking that he simply had to “keep paying the bills.”

The house will eventually become the family’s new home with Harper, creating another fresh beginning after a turbulent period in the public eye.

For Karl, the European trip began during the final weeks of his Channel Nine career and continued through the fallout from its abrupt ending.
