Brooke Warne’s family enters a new chapter — but one painful absence remains
Just weeks after announcing her engagement to Alex Heath, Brooke Warne has welcomed two more little members into a family that continues to grow.
But behind the smiles and excitement is a quiet reminder of the person who remains deeply woven into Brooke’s biggest milestones — her late father, Shane Warne.

“And then there were 4”
On August 30, Brooke shared the latest piece of happy news with her followers, introducing two adorable puppies, Winnie and Lulu.
The 29-year-old content creator posted a photo of herself and fiancé Alex cuddling their new four-legged family members.
“And then there were 4 ????????????????????,” Brooke wrote simply.
“Welcome to the family Winnie & Lulu.”
It was a small, joyful family moment — but for those close to Brooke, the decision carries a deeper meaning.
A love of dogs she inherited from her father
According to a source cited by New Idea, Shane’s love of animals was one of the passions Brooke grew up around.
The late cricket great was known to be a devoted dog lover, and Brooke reportedly grew up with dogs as part of everyday family life.
For that reason, welcoming Winnie and Lulu is seen as another way Brooke is carrying something of her father’s world into her own.
It is not simply about bringing two puppies home.
It is about continuing traditions, embracing the things that brought happiness to her family and, in a quiet way, keeping a connection with Shane alive.
That sentiment has become particularly poignant as Brooke prepares to marry Alex.

The happy moments Shane will never get to see
Brooke and Alex announced their engagement in July after years together, with Alex proposing during their US holiday.
The proposal itself carried an emotional detail: a rainbow appeared in the sky as the couple celebrated.
Brooke’s mother, Simone Callahan, described it as “Dad’s sign” for her daughter and Alex, saying Shane would have been overjoyed by the news.
Now, with the arrival of Winnie and Lulu, Brooke has another happy family memory that her father will never physically be there to share.
And that is where the joy becomes bittersweet.
Shane died suddenly in March 2022, aged 52, while on holiday in Thailand. His death left Brooke, her brother Jackson and sister Summer facing a loss that has continued to shape their lives.
For Brooke in particular, some of the hardest moments are those that should have included her dad.
Her wedding will inevitably be one of them.

“Grief never goes away”
Brooke has never pretended that time has erased the pain.
Earlier this year, she spoke candidly about the reality of living with grief, explaining that it remains part of life rather than something a person simply leaves behind.
“You learn how to live without a part of you,” she said, describing grief as something that comes in waves.
She has also spoken about how strongly she still feels her father’s presence in her life.
On some days, she said, she could almost believe Shane might simply walk through the front door.
His influence remains particularly clear in the way Brooke approaches her own life.
One piece of advice from her father has stayed with her: to “keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground.”
For Brooke, it seems to have become more than just a childhood saying.
It is part of the way she continues to move forward.
A daughter trying to make her father proud
There have been enormous changes in Brooke’s life since Shane’s passing.
She has continued building her own career and identity, found lasting happiness with Alex, and is now preparing for marriage.
She has also remained close to her family and involved in preserving her father’s legacy alongside Jackson and Summer.
The three siblings have repeatedly spoken about the importance of keeping Shane’s memory alive — not by remaining stuck in the past, but by continuing to live the kind of lives they believe he would have wanted for them.
That makes Brooke’s latest family announcement feel especially meaningful.
Winnie and Lulu are simply two puppies joining a young couple’s home.
But they also represent something more personal: a little piece of the family life Brooke knew growing up, carried forward into the life she is creating for herself.
Simone’s joy for her daughter
Brooke’s mother, Simone, has been openly supportive throughout this new chapter.
When Brooke and Alex became engaged, Simone described them as a “match made in Heaven” and shared her belief that Shane would have been incredibly happy for his daughter.
The family has continued to rally around Brooke as she prepares for marriage — a milestone that will undoubtedly bring both excitement and an ache that never completely disappears.
Because no matter how beautiful the next chapter becomes, there will always be moments when the absence of Shane is felt most deeply.
Learning to celebrate without forgetting
Perhaps that is the most difficult part of grief: happiness does not replace the person who is missing.
It simply learns to exist alongside the absence.
Brooke is now building a home with Alex, preparing to walk towards a future she once imagined sharing with her father and, in the meantime, welcoming two small puppies into their lives.
There will be laughter, new memories and an entirely different kind of family chaos.
And somewhere within all of it will remain the memory of Shane — the father whose presence continues to shape the woman Brooke has become.
She is moving forward.
But she has never stopped carrying him with her.
